    Online Therapy in Pennsylvania

Online Therapy in Pennsylvania From Your Couch – Not Mine!

Tired of blocking out 2-3 hours to get to a therapy appointment in rush hour traffic in Philadelphia? You have to make time to travel, hang out in a waiting room, and travel back home. Maybe, you’re just tired of trying to juggle your obligations so you can plan your day around your appointment. Or, perhaps you are concerned about running into your neighbor or workplace peer from the Lehigh Valley in the waiting room.

Fun times, right? Not in my world! Online Therapy allows you to attend counseling appointments in the comfort of your home or office via a HIPPA compliant video platform. So, whether you are in Pittsburgh or Philadelphia, Lancaster, or the Lehigh Valley, or anywhere in the state of Pennsylvania, you can access the mental health services you need.

Online Therapy Meets You Where You Are

Now that I have your attention, welcome to my club! As an overachiever, Type A personality, or perfectionist you probably think you’re indestructible. You tell yourself that you just need to push harder or try a different tactic to feel fulfilled.

upset therapist experiencing burnout gets online therapy for burnout with melissa russiano who offers online therapy in ohio, online therapy in tennessee, online therapy in florida, online therapy in pennsylvania, and online therapy in California.

This type of motivation has always worked in the past, so why not now? I get it. I know what this feels like. But, the bottom line is that sometimes the barrier standing in the way of your success or happiness is not something you can just push past. It is something we can get through together though. A therapist once asked me once, who is my ideal client? Ideal client? I never really thought about an ideal client. I like to think that therapy isn’t about creating an ideal image, rather solving problems in your life as they arise. None the less, I thought about it for a while and this is what I came up with:

    • I enjoy working with individuals who are motivated to change. I like helping clients who are independent thinkers with strong personalities and big dreams.
    • I’m really good at working with clients who have high expectations that need to be managed, but also feel like they live with Imposter Syndrome,
    • I can help clients who fear failure. They are very independent and successful, but they also crave connection and to be “known” on an intimate level.
    • I’m blunt. Therefore, I like working with clients who are blunt, call me out when needed. Clients who can manage compassionate, direct feedback and accountability when needed.

Life isn’t always easy. Online therapy in Pennsylvania can help.

Sometimes, even the strongest people among us need a little bit of help to work through some of life’s more challenging problems. Burnout and a lack of enthusiasm for life are becoming common issues for anyone who is committed to their career or lifestyle choice.

Going to therapy does not mean you’re broken or weak. It means you are being real, vulnerable, and want to be known for who you are at the core. You’re ready to be really known by someone and feel completely accepted for who you are.

We all are human at the core which means we all deal with the common humanity of life.

Asian woman smiles while looking at her computer during online therapy in pennsylvania with melissa russiano for burnout and imposter syndrome and compassion fatigue therapy in pennsylvaniaEver see a slab of marble? Beautiful, expensive unique marble? But, what if it were slate or just one color – without the beautiful cracks and veining? Is beauty still there?

No, it’s gone. Slate is not marble. In price, beauty, or even personal choice. Think of all of the “cracks” in your life. The sadness, the disappointments, the failures, and the ‘this is not where I thought I would be.’ All of those cracks come together to form the beauty of your life – just like marble. Ultimately, slate is pretty boring, and who likes boring!

Marble is beautiful from the pressure and the imperfections.
    So are YOU.
