Virtual Coaching

Imposter Syndrome.  Compassion Fatigue.   Burn Out.   Fraud.

Any of those words ring a bell?   All work and no play often leads to high achieving individuals wanting to change careers to sell umbrella drinks on a beach in Fiji.  Oh wait.  That is my plan!   Bottom line is that some of the greatest accomplishments parallel personal costs that over time can impact your view on your life, your career, your relationships and overall your choices.   This can be changed and you can achieve the balance that Fiji would bring.

According to the International Coaching Community, coaching is defined as:

“Coaching has been defined in many ways. The essence of coaching is:

  • To help a person change in the way they wish and helping them go in the direction they want to go.

  • Coaching supports a person at every level in becoming who they want to be.

  • Coaching builds awareness empowers choice and leads to change.”

So what does that mean in Melissa terms?  You feel stuck.   You want to sell drinks in Fiji (I will share my dream with you).  You are more focused on planning an escape than focusing on the daily tasks.    You are not sure that you are in the correct career, correct relationship or even correct town.

It isn’t about barriers or blocks – it is about needing someone to empower you to push to the next level that is realistic, defines your sweet spot and allows you to thrive right where you are.   It is not therapy (but we can transition to that if needed).  It is allowing you to have a neutral platform to identify goals and be held accountable to the goals in a direct, but supportive manner.

Coaching will stretch you to be authentically you so you can achieve what you want to achieve.

Coaching is my way of integrating my clinical skills with my creativity with an ultimate goal of getting you where you want to be.

Sometimes we are our greatest hurdles that we need to work through.  Together we can figure it out.   Two is always better than one.
